These are my targets from The Firing Line on May 9th 2005 (click on the small pics to bring up big ones). Ruger 10/22 carbine (18.5" bbl) with synthetic stock, stainless barrel, completely stock parts and a Simmons 22mag scope (4x32mm fixed, not the compact version).

After about 100 rounds of sighting in, I ran 40 rounds through on the same target. Being limited to 50ft, I sighted the scope to hit about an inch and a half higher than point of aim, figuring this would get me close to on target at 50 yards. (An online calculator has since proven my guestimate wrong. With zero at 50 yards, the bullet should be hitting about a third of an inch high at 16 yards.) The red dot on the target represents POA.
40 rounds, benchrest

Satisfied with that, I put 10 rounds through and came up with this:
10 rounds benchrest

I thought that was good enough, so I decided to see how well I did standing (having done all the sighting in and previous targets in my best imitation of benchrest).
10 rounds standing
Well.... I'll keep workin on it.

The people next door to me were having fun with a S&W .22 pistol, and were nice enough to let me run a couple mags through it. Both targets at 15 ft, the first with their federal ammo, the second with my CCI Blazer (which had a bit more punch to it... as much "punch" as .22lr can have at least).
